E-signatures for small business, without paying per document.

For a small team, e-signatures replace printing, scanning and chasing paperwork. The right plan depends less on the price per seat than on how many documents each person can send.

Where small businesses use e-signatures

  • Sales: quotes, proposals, order forms and service agreements, signed the same day.
  • Hiring: offer letters, contractor agreements, NDAs and onboarding forms.
  • Property and rentals: leases, renewals and move-in checklists.
  • Services: client intake forms, consent forms, work orders and change orders.
  • Suppliers and partners: purchase orders, supplier agreements and referral agreements.

What to look for

  • How many documents you can send. Many per-seat plans cap envelopes at roughly 100 per user a year. Once you pass the cap, you pay for another seat.
  • Templates. If you send the same agreement every week, reusable templates save the most time. Check whether the plan limits them.
  • Easy for your signers. Clients shouldn't need an account or an app. A link they can open on their phone is enough.
  • A record of every step. Timestamps for sent, signed and completed, and a downloadable signed copy.
  • Team controls. Shared templates and role permissions once more than one person sends.
  • No long contract. Monthly billing lets you change plans as you grow.

How per-seat caps add up

Say one person sends 2,400 documents a year. A typical per-seat plan at about $30 a month with roughly 100 envelopes per user a year would need 24 seats to cover that: about $8,640 a year. EaseSignature Business has no envelope cap, so the same volume is one seat at $25 a month, or $300 a year. That works out to about $0.13 per envelope.

Other plans' figures are approximate published list prices with annual billing, and they change often. Not every provider caps envelopes, so compare the terms for your own volume. See the full pricing comparison.
